FIRST TIME BUYER STAMP DUTY
If you are a first time buyer and your property is less than £300.000, then you do not have stamp duty to pay. You only pay stamp duty on any excess amount over that threshold that you pay. If you bought your first home for £325,000, you would only pay stamp duty on £25,000.
